Boshoek is located approximately 30km north-west of Rustenburg. Mining operations around Boshoek comprise of both open cast mining operations and ferrochrome beneficiation. The Royal Bafokeng Platinum, Styldrift I project and Styldrift II exploration are some of the platinum mining activities that take place in the Boshoek area.

Royal Bafokeng Platinum mine is situated in Rustenburg outside the North West Province of South Africa. The mine predominantly produces platinum group metals (PGMs). The PGMs are found in the Merensky and UG2 reefs on the Boschkoppie Styldrift and Frischgewaagd farms in the Rustenburg area.
The Styldrift I project is an underground mine that is part of Royal Bafokeng Platinum mine.

The Styldrift I underground mine is situated within the boundaries of the Styldrift and Frischgewaagd farms. The has the potential to produce 230 000 tonnes of platinum in a month. The Styldrift II exploration lies east of the current Styldrift I expansion project. The resource currently comprises 58Mt Merensky at an average grade of 7.81g/t 4E over a resource width of 104cm and 71Mt UG2 at an average grade of 5.39g/t 4E over a resource width of 120cm.

Exhibitors should include any company that supplies equipment or products to the platinum mining industry mines, or that supplies equipment or products that can be used in the platinum mining process.
