Gold pour 3 weeks early

Toro Gold completed its first gold pour of 1 325 ounces (41.2kg), at the Mako Mine in eastern Senegal recently.

The gold pour happened three weeks ahead of schedule. According to Martin Horgan, CEO of Toro Gold, the company will now focus on implementing the continued ramp up of operations to achieve steady-state commercial production through the first half of 2018.

The Mako Project is situated in eastern Senegal within the prolific ‘Kenieba Window’ geological unit, which hosts multiple world-class gold mining operations — including the Sabodala Mine in Senegal some 40km from the project area. The project is about 5km from the main national Dakar–Bamako highway.
